In short
Before you load the SoundCloud player, this site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads no fonts or scripts from other servers. The host keeps server logs. Once you load the player, SoundCloud may use cookies and similar technologies, as explained below.
Hosting on GitHub Pages
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser sends GitHub your IP address and technical data such as the browser, the page requested and the time. GitHub logs the IP address for security purposes, for example to fend off attacks, whether or not you have a GitHub account.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: a legitimate interest in delivering the site securely.
How long the logs are kept is decided by GitHub, not by me. GitHub names no fixed period. According to its privacy statement, the retention depends on the purpose of the collection and on legal obligations. I have no access to these logs and keep no logs of my own.
The data may be processed in the USA. GitHub, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has decided that it ensures an adequate level of protection (Art. 45 GDPR). For other transfers, GitHub relies on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR). Details are in the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
SoundCloud player
The mixes are played by a player from SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG, Karl-Marx-Strasse 101, 12043 Berlin, Germany. The page does not load the player by itself. Only when you click "Load SoundCloud player" does your browser connect to SoundCloud. SoundCloud then receives your IP address, browser data and the page you came from. It may store cookies and similar data on your device or read those it stored before, for example if you are logged in to SoundCloud. According to SoundCloud's cookie policy, these serve to run the player, to remember settings, to measure use and for advertising.
The legal basis is your consent by the click, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).
You can withdraw your consent at any time with "Remove SoundCloud player" below the player, or by reloading the page. The player is then not loaded again until you click once more. Withdrawing does not affect the lawfulness of the processing before it (Art. 7(3) GDPR). It also does not delete cookies SoundCloud has already stored. You can delete those in your browser's settings for soundcloud.com.
SoundCloud may transfer data to countries outside the European Economic Area. It uses the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission or other mechanisms allowed by law (Art. 46 GDPR). You can request a copy from SoundCloud at dataprotection@soundcloud.com. How long SoundCloud keeps the data and what it does with it is in the SoundCloud privacy policy.
If you write an email, for example a booking request, your address and message are used only to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for booking requests and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries. Emails are deleted when they are no longer needed for the enquiry, unless a legal retention period applies.
The mailbox is a free Gmail account. For users in the European Economic Area, Gmail is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may process the emails in the USA and other countries. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). Google also uses the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR) and provides a copy on request. Details are in Google's data transfer frameworks.
Links to other sites
The links to SoundCloud, Mixcloud, Instagram and ticket shops lead to other sites. They receive data only after you follow a link. Their own privacy policies then apply.
Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21). To use them, write to the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the one in your federal state.
